Performance Literacy Through Storytelling (3rd-6th.)

Featuring classic folk and fairy tales, this wonderful residency teaches basic storytelling techniques by incorporating narrative mime, dialogue development, creative movement, and body language. Students will experiment with creative introductions and conclusions to familiar stories, and will write and perform their very own alternate conclusion as the final project. Other activities can include reader’s theater, and using American Sign Language (ASL) as a storytelling tool.
